Ironwork that adds character to the structure
Ornamental ironwork is the difference between a fence that blends in and one that people notice. Scrolls along the top rail, custom finials on each post, rosette accents at panel centers, or a fully hand-forged gate panel — these details elevate the entire property.
We design and fabricate ornamental iron elements for fences, gates, porch railings, stair handrails, window grilles, and standalone architectural features. Whether you want subtle accent details or a fully ornamental estate gate, we can sketch, fabricate, and install it.
What we build
- Fence accents: Scrollwork top rails, decorative picket tips, and panel center rosettes that upgrade a standard iron fence.
- Custom gate panels: Fully ornamental gate designs with flowing ironwork, monograms, or nature-inspired patterns.
- Porch and stair railings: Iron handrails and balustrades for front porches, rear decks, and interior staircases.
- Window and door grilles: Decorative security grilles that protect openings without looking industrial.
Forged vs. fabricated
Hand-forged ironwork is heated, hammered, and shaped by a smith. It has organic curves, visible hammer texture, and a one-of-a-kind character. Shop-fabricated ornamental work uses pre-formed scrolls and cast elements assembled into patterns. Both look excellent — the right choice depends on budget and design complexity.
Matching existing work
If your property already has iron fencing or railings and you want to extend or enhance them, we can match existing styles, patina, and finish colors so the new work blends seamlessly with the original.
